Das J a h r 1904 und da e R e v o l u t i o n s j a h r 1905 b e d e u t e t e n e i n e n t i e - f e n E i n s c h n i t t im S c h a f f e n A l e k s a n d r B l o k s • Er w a n d te s i c h von d e r c h r i s t l i c h g e f ä r b t e n M y s t i k s e i n e r " G e d i c h t e v o n d e r S c h ö n e n Dame" ab und e n t d e c k t e n e u e Themen, s o d i e G r o ß s t a d t und "Ruß- l a n d" , d i e s e i n e L y r i k n a c h 1905 b e h e r r s c h e n . Es z e i g t s i c h , daß d a s LS z e i t - l i e h und t h e m a t i s c h e i n e n b e s o n d e r s g e e i g n e t e n Zugang zum Ge- s a m tw e r k B l o k s e r m ö g l i c h t .

Im V e r s u c h , s e i n m y t h i s c h e s W e l t b i l d i n e i n Ku n stw erk m i t o b j e k - t i v e m G ü l t i g k e i t s a n s p r u c h zu g i e ß e n , nahm B l o k Z u f l u c h t zu e i n e r s e h r w e i t g e h e n d e n S t ü t z u n g s e i n e s e i g e n e n Mythos d u r c h v o r g e g e - b e n e l i t e r a r i s c h e und r e l i g i ö s e M y th e n . Das f ü h r t e d a z u , daß da s LS v o l l i s t v o n A n s p i e l u n g e n a u f Mythen v e r s c h i e d e n e r H e r k u n f t und Bezugnahmen a u f l i t e r a r i s c h e V o r b i l d e r . B l o k s A uswahl und D e u t u n g i s t a l l e r d i n g s s u b j e k t i v ; e r b a u t d a s V o r g e g e b e n e i n s e i n e i g e n e s m y t h i s c h e s W e l t b i l d e i n .

D i e B e s o n d e r h e i t g e r a d e d e s LS - z a h l r e i c h e A n s p i e l u n g e n , B e z u g - nahmen und Z i t a t e , s o w i e d i e a u s d e r P u b l i z i s t i k h e r ü b e r g e n o m - mene k u l t u r p h i l o s o p h i s c h e T h e m a t i k - f o r d e r t e f ü r d i e A r b e i t e i n e V e r b i n d u n g v o n s t r e n g p h i l o l o g i s c h e r D e t a i l f o r s c h u n g m i t d e r ü b e r g r e i f e n d e n D a r s t e l l u n g d e r g e i s t e s g e s c h i c h t l i c h e n Zusam- m e n h ä n g e .

Es w i r d d a h e r i n d e r E n t s t e h u n g s g e - s c h i c h t e e t w a s vom g e i s t i g e n Klim a P e t e r s b u r g s i n d e n J a h r e n n a c h 1 9 0 5 s i c h t b a r , d a s i n s S t ü c k s e l b s t E i n g a n g g e f u n d e n h a t . D i e D a r s t e l l u n g d e s E n t s t e h u n g s p r o z e s s e s 8 0 1 1 den Zugang zum S t ü c k s e l b s t e r l e i c h t e r n , denn h i e r w e rd en im V o r g r i f f P r o b l e m e b e r ü h r t , d i e an s p ä t e r e r S t e l l e d e r A r b e i t s y s t e m a t i s c h a b g e h a n - d e l t w e r d e n .

Es f o l g t e i n e m ö g l i c h s t w o r t g e t r e u e Ü b e r s e t z u n g d e r e n d g ü l t i g e n F a s s u n g d e s LS von 1919 i n s D e u t s c h e . B e i d i e s e r Ü b e r s e t z u n g , d i e a l s G r u n d l a g e f ü r d e n e i g e n t l i c h w i s s e n s c h a f t l i c h e n T e i l d e r A r b e i t d i e n t , wurde d i e w o r t g e t r e u e W i e d e r g a b e d e s O r i g i n a l s dem I d e a l e i n e r d i c h t e r i s c h a d ä q u a t e n Ü b e r t r a g u n g a u s m e t h o d i - s e h e n Gründen v o r g e z o g e n . D i e h i e r b e i kaum zu v e r m e i d e n d e Te ndenz zu e i n e r " I n t e l l e k t u a l i s i e r u n g 11 d e s O r i g i n a l s 1 ^ mußte im H i n b l i c k a u f d a s g e s t e c k t e Z i e l , d e r g r ü n d l i c h e n A n a l y s e d e s S y m b o l g e - h a l t s d e s S t ü c k s , i n Kauf genommen w e r d e n .
