2. Lehre
Das Neurologische Praktikum wird seit dem Wintersemester 2004/2005 als Blockpraktikum angeboten, welches für jeden Studierenden eine Woche lang dauert und täglich 4 Stunden umfasst. Die Betreuung der Kleingruppen erfolgt in jeder Woche ganzzeitig durch erfahrene neurologische Assistenzärzte/-innen sowie einen neurologischen Facharzt, der für das Praktikum verantwortlich ist.
Im Rahmen der patientennahen Ausbildung ist jeder Nachmittag einem bestimmten Themenbereich gewidmet, für den sowohl aus dem stationären als auch ambulanten Bereich Patienten für die Lehre zur Verfügungen stehen. Das Praktikum schließt mit einer mündlichen Prüfung ab, die von dem zuständigen Facharzt für Neurologie abgehalten wird. Es erfolgt eine Benotung sowohl der Praktikums- als auch der Prüfungsleistung.

3. Forschung
Die 2007 und 2008 teilweise neu formierten wissenschaftlichen Arbeitsgruppen waren auch im Jahre 2008 anhaltend erfolgreich. Die Neurologie befindet sich auch weiterhin in der Spitzengruppe der forschungsstärksten Kliniken unseres Universitätsklinikums (Einzelheiten: siehe Publikationen).
