Fact Sheet

2nd generation red clover for pastures

DUS test conducted at Scharnhorst, BSA (DE), 2017-2019

UPOV No Characteristics State of expression Note

Pastiroma is Agroscope's second variety of red clover for pastures, which was newly approved in 2020.

Compared to the older variety Pastor, it has a higher proportion of pasture clover genetics in its pedigree. Due to the more pronounced pasture

phenotype with low-lying young shoots, the yield capacity under cutting is therefore lower than with Pastor.

However, this is compensated by a better endurance as well as a higher resistance to Southern Anthracnose and trampling damage.
