FACULTY POSITION IN MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY ART HISTORY Pending budgetary approval, the Ernest G. Welch School of Art and Design invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in modern and contemporary art history and critical theory to begin in August 2006.
Position responsible for teaching a Western art survey and upper- level/graduate courses in modern and contemporary art, critical theory, methodology and historiography. Post-World War II dissertation topic, global perspective, and interest in
interdisciplinary approaches highly desirable. A strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching, promising scholarly profile, and publications are expected. PhD required. Teaching experience in field beyond GTA required.
