Aluminates, Aurides, Solid State Synthesis Rb8AlO4Au3(Pearson-CodeoP64,P212121,a= 1043.4(1),b= 1296.7(2),c= 1320.2(2) pm,Z= 4, 809 reflections with Io> 2σ(I), R1= 0.059, wR2= 0.151) is a further, completely new representative belonging to the group of composite alkali metal aurides. It consists of structural elements of alkali orthoaluminates and alkali aurides. Indeed, Rb8AlO4Au3 is thus better represented by the formula Rb5AlO4·3RbAu.
