Dear Friends and Colleagues

It is a great honour for me to personally invite you again to the 9th International Breast Symposium Düsseldorf (IBSD) at the InterContinental Hotel situated at the Königsallee.

The meeting will be held as a hybrid meeting due to the ongoing situation. Again, we have been able to recruit national and international experts with a great experience in all areas of aesthetic as well as reconstructive breast surgery.

After last year‘s great response and success, we will enlarge the spectrum of the BREAST

& BODY live surgery day. This year there will be 14 surgeries over two days. In our breast augmentation challenge, the surgeons will compete against each other in different rooms but with the same surgery. Same task - different possibilities! The surgeries will be perfor- med with outstanding, well-known Surgeons.

Further, the aim of our 9th Symposium is to have lively scientific controversial discussions together with the participants and the faculty. Again, we will focus on pro- and contra sessions to take the great opportunity to strengthen the multidisciplinary approach between the colleagues to create a platform for an open discussion from different perspectives.

The following topics are focused to surgical indications and selection of appropriate techniques for breast surgery:

We kindly invite you to submit a case description for the session „best case, best save in breast surgery“

In our awarded session „Best case, best save in breast surgery“ five pre-selected cases will be presented by delegates. Further, from the scientific board seleceted abstracts will be accepted and presented as a poster in the exhibition area.

We welcome submissions of abstracts for presentations in reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery and in lymph surgery.

At the end of the session will be a live voting by the audience to select the best presentation. The best presentation will be awarded. Each presentation will last six minutes – 4 minutes for the presentation and 2 minutes for questions. The description of the case must be written in English and should be a maximum of 300 words. The deadline for submission is July 30, 2021 authors will be notified in case of acceptance until August 6, 2021.
