Raman Spectra of dissolved Na4P2S6 • 6 H20
R a m a n spectra with polarization measurements of a saturated Na4P2S6 • 6 H20 solution are recorded. Especially the polarization data prove the assignment of the vibra- tional frequencies of the h e x a t h i o h y p o d i p h o s p h a t e anion P2S r with D3 d symmetry. A reliable assignment of the P2Sg~ frequencies is i m p o r t a n t for the interpretation of the vibration spectra of crystalline metal p h o s p h o r u s trisulfides containing P2S6 groups.
