Content and aims

Have English tenses given you the occasional headache? Do you remember rules from school that don’t seem to add up? Don’t worry, it’s not as complicated as it may look – just different from German. Let’s discover how grammar relates to the real world when we talk about now, then and later in English:

• Which of the following could an Austrian civil servant say about herself and her job?

• In which situations could you say the following? (All 6 are correct.)
