Crystal Structure
The com pounds BaPdA s, (a = 4 .6 7 8 ( 1 ) . b - 1 7 .3 3 0 (2 ). c = 4 .5 7 4 ( 1) A), BaPdSb2 (,a = 4 .8 7 7 ( 1).

pared by heating mixtures of the elem ents and investigated by X-ray methods. They are isotypic and crystallize in the CeNiSi2-type structure (Cmcm), also called the BaCuSn2-type.
