Rafael Ugarte Chacón, Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz – Max-Planck-Institut The Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz – Max-Planck-Institut (www.khi.fi.it) is searching an Assistant (f/m/d) to support the Research Coordinator and Public Relations Manager as soon as possible on a fulltime basis for an initial period of one year with the option of a permanent con- tract.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Maintenance of the website and social media channels, newsletter and blog - Editing newsletters and other texts (especially in English)

- Supervision of graphic design of website, newsletter, programs, etc.

- Coordination and editing of the Institute’s research reports - Organization of events (conferences, workshops, lectures, etc.)

- Supporting visiting scholars as well as assisting with internal coordination and communication - Maintenance of address lists

We are looking for a dedicated staff member with a bachelor's degree or another comparable degree (e.g., Fachhochschulabschluss) in the field of cultural management, communication sci- ence, art history, or related studies, with experience in scientific or cultural administration. We seek a reliable individual with strong communication skills, who is able to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent English and good Italian language skills, both written and spoken, are required. Confident use of MS Office programs and Adobe Cloud applications (especially Photo- shop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro) is necessary. The successful can expect a multifaceted and interesting job in a research institution and a friendly environment with dedicated scholars from all over the world. If the requirements are met, we offer remuneration in accordance with the Ger- man collective agreement for the public service (TVöD Bund) with corresponding allowances.

Social benefits are granted as in the public service of the federal government. Additional retire- ment benefits are provided by the Federal and State Government Employees' Retirement Fund (VBL). There will be variable working hours with flexible arrangements.

If TVöD is not applicable, adequate remuneration will be paid in accordance with Italian labor law as per the remuneration scheme of the German Embassy in Rome.
