Der gute Hirte

Psalm 23 – ein Psalm Davids.

Der Herr ist mein Hirte, mir wird nichts fehlen.

Er lässt mich auf saftigen Wiesen weiden und führt mich ans ruhige Wasser. Er erfrischt meine Seele mit neuer Kraft. Er leitet mich auf sicheren Wegen, denn dafür steht sein Name.

Auch wenn ich durchs dunkelste Tal gehen muss, fürchte ich kein Unglück, denn du bist bei mir.

Dein Hirtenstab gibt mir Schutz und Trost.

Du deckst mir den Tisch vor den Augen meiner Feinde. Du salbst mein Haupt mit Öl, um mich als deinen Gast zu ehren, und du füllst meinen Becher, bis er überfliesst.

Deine Güte und Liebe begleiten mich an jedem Tag meines Lebens; und ich bleibe für immer in deinem Haus.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
