New or aspiring entrepreneurs (NEs) who have firm plans to start their own business or whose new business is three years old or less, with permanent residence (at least 6 months) in one of the participating countries.
Experienced host entrepreneurs (HEs) who own or manage a small or medium-sized business in another participating country.
Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs in Europe and worldwide
Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) and Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Global (EYE Global) are business exchange programs funded by the European Commission for European entrepreneurs to promote and strengthen entrepreneurship and internationalization by working abroad in other EU countries and in the USA, Canada, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Israel.

What are the benefits?
Access to new markets, international collaborations, and potential opportunities to work with business partners abroad. Win-win situation: HE can benefit from NE's skills and gain innovative perspective of their own business, while NE can build leadership and management skills through individual mentoring.
For which sectors is the program suitable?
NEs with innovative business ideas from any sector are welcome. HEs of all sectors can partecipate as long as they manage small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
In European countries: 1 - 6 months
In USA, Canada, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Israel: 1 - 3 months

What foreign language skills are needed?
Good English language skills are important, as the application process and often the cooperation with the host will be in English. Additionally, it is beneficial to know the language of the country where the exchange will take place. No language course is offered within the EYE projects.
As a local contact point, ITKAM supports and coordinates young entrepreneurs from Germany during their stay abroad as well as host entrepreneurs in Germany who would like to welcome a new entrepreneur from another European country in their company.
New entrepreneurs receive a monthly financial support of max. 1.100€ for the time they will spend abroad.
Furthermore, ITKAM is contact point for European NEs who want to cooperate with a host in the USA, Canada and Singapore within the framework of EYE Global and is always available to provide further information about global cooperations.

How does the participation work?
All those interested in EYE and EYE Global can easily register and create a profile on the EYE homepage via the IT Tool Login. If you are an entrepreneur living in Germany for more than 6 months, you can select the Italienische Handelskammer für Deutschland ITKAM (IO581) as your Intermediary Organization. Once you are registered on the platform, you can start browsing through the database of profiles and find your matching counterpart.
Is there an age restriction?
From the age of 18, with no age restriction. "Young"
