FIONA is a cultivar with very big leaves and with a small part of plants

producing hydrocyanic acid. Herein it differs distinctively from BOMBUS.

FIONA excels in a very good winter hardiness and in a good persistence at higher altitudes.

This variety leads back on the same breeding material as APIS, namely on Swiss ecotypes from average sites.
