Metadata Central Yakutia Landsat Mosaics

Two mosaics from Landsat scenes were constructed for the study area for the years 2001&2002 and  2009. Mosaicking process was done in ERDAS IMAGINE 9.1. Mosaicking process was done in ERDAS  IMAGINE 9.1. We used the “Mosaic Images” processing chain of the “data preparation” menu. After  adding all images into the “Mosaic Tool Viewer”, the image quality within the overlap areas were  evaluated. Cutlines between neighboring images were drawn manually, in order to create a cloud  free coverage for the entire area. Output map area was set to “Union of all inputs”, output cell size to  30m (mosaic 2001/2002) and 32 m (mosaic  2009). No color corrections along the border of cutlines  or across the images have been applied.
