In Anlehnung an die ökologischen Schemata zu den Waldgesellschaften

(KELLER

1978, 1979a) wurde ein Modell entwickelt, das aufgrund der Standortsfaktoren Höhenlage, Wuchsgebiet, Exposition und Muttergestein jede Probefläche der entsprechenden Vegetationshöhenstufe zuordnet.

Jede Probefläche repräsentiert eine Fläche von 1

km^2•
