Columbia University in the City of New York invites scholars who are interested in working in Paris to apply to be fellows at its recently established Institute for Scholars at Reid Hall for the coming academic year, beginning September 8, 2003. Individuals may apply for year-long or academic term fellowships.
Opened in January 2001 in cooperation with the Maison des Sciences de l=Homme, the Institute offers a setting at which fellows may pursue their individual and collective research while interacting with other scholars in France and throughout Europe. Preference will be given to scholars in the Humanities, Social Sciences and related
professional disciplines. The Institute encourages collaborative group proposals, although individual applications will be considered.
The Institute does not consider applications from doctoral or postdoctoral candidates.
Further information about the Institute and application materials for fellowships may be found at our website or may be obtained by calling the Office of the Provost. Applications for 2003-04 fellowships must be received by March 1, 2003.
