Street Music in Innsbruck
Information
Street music and street artists are lively, vivid, animated elements of a flourishing city life as we know it in Innsbruck. In the following pages we tell you what days it is possible and what permission must be obtained.
Which squares are available?
Maria-Theresien-Street:
1 north side in front of the Anna Column
2 in front of the Spitalskirche (not 18.00-19.00 due to Mass) Old town:
3 in front of the City Tower
4 intersection of Kiebachgasse / Seilergasse
5 Franziskaner Square Other city squares:
6 Waltherpark
7 Maria-Hilf-Park
8 Prof. Franz-Mair-Gasse (in front of the fountain)
9 Rapoldi Park (Sillsteg)
10 Get-together zone on Rennweg (Leopold Fountain, excl. 20–21 pm)
11 Cool-Inn-Park (at S-Bahn stop Innsbruck Messe)
12 Bozner Platz
13 Wiltener Platzl (not on Saturday from 11–12 am, not on Sunday)
ATTENTION: If there is construction work in progress on one of the above-mentioned squares, or if another registered event is taking place there, there is no substitute pro- vided.

Where can I register?
Monday through Friday at Bürgerservice B of the City of Innsbruck, Maria-Theresien-Str.
18, on the ground floor of City Hall (Rathaus).

Registration / Price
1. Possibility of approval for:
1 day € 10,–
1 week € 50,–
2. Maintenance and payment:
The daily or weekly fee must be paid when the approval is picked up. The tickets (day ticket with name and date; week ticket with name and calendar week) are considered valid for controls, however they must be accompanied by an ID with photo. No refunds possible.
Important: You must keep the ticket with you and show it to the authorities upon de- mand.
What else must be heeded?
Since some city squares are near together, i.e. close to other events, making music is possible only with the following instruments: string instruments, woodwind instruments, keyboard instruments, digeridoos, guiros, maracas and rattles are all welcome.
No approval for brass instruments and percussion instruments, e.g. drum-sets, sin- gle drums, timpani
Not permitted: pedestals and other constructions
For each calendar week, max. 4 week-tickets, 6 day-tickets will be awarded.
Amplifiers
Amplifiers can be rented for a fee of €10.- per day and a security deposit of € 200.- upon presentation of a day-ticket or week-ticket. Security deposit and rental fee must be paid in cash when the applicance is picked up at the Kulturamt of the City of Innsbruck (Her- zog-Friedrich-Str. 21, 2nd floor). Only the officially marked rental appliances are permit- ted. Only one appliance is permitted at each location.
