The future of must and can

It is possible to refer to future actions using must and can.

• I must revise for my exam at the weekend.

• We can do it tomorrow.

To emphasise that something is taking place in the future, we use will have to and will be able to.

• We will have to train Charley ourselves.

• We will be able to get tickets on the internet.

A) Write replies to these statements and questions.

I haven't got any money.--> You will have to borrow some from your uncle.

In the following sentences, it is clear that the subject of the sentence is responsible for the action.

• He's cutting his hair.

• She repaired her motorbike.

If you want to indicate that someone else did the action, you use have and the past participle of the verb.

• He’s having his hair cut.

• She had her motorbike repaired.
