Das Team des Institut für Managementwissenschaften Bereich Betriebs- technik und Systemplanung der TU Wien hat beim S-BPM Contest 2010 die beste Lösung erarbeitet und somit den 1. Platz gewonnen.

er Wettbewerb, veranstaltet von der Firma METASONIC AG (www.metasonic.de) und SAP Re- search, wurde vom 14. bis 17.10.2010, bei SAP Research in Walldorf ausgetragen.Die starke Konkurrenz kam aus namhaften deutschen und österrei- chischen Universitätsstätten:

• TU Darmstadt Was ist S-BPM?
S-BPM steht für subjektorientiertes Business Process Management und setzt heute neue Maßstäbe im Bereich
BPM. Diese weltweit einzigartige Pro- zessbeschreibungsmethode wurde von Dr. Albert Fleischmann entwickelt. Es ist eine BPM-Revolution mit dem Ziel, schnell und einfach dynamische Busi- ness Applikationen zu erstellen sowie zügig und nahtlos in die bestehende IT zu integrieren. S-BPM fokussiert sich auf die Subjekte, sprich die Handeln- den im Prozess. Einfach und intuitiv mit nur fünf Symbolen modellieren die Fachabteilungen selbst und erstellen ihre Business Applikationen.Ohne spe- zielles IT-Wissen können die Prozesse bzw. die Anwendungslogik dann inter- aktiv getestet und sofort als Workflow ausgeführt werden. Die Software zur Bearbeitung der Prozesse wird aus den Prozessmodellen automatisch erzeugt.

ESTIEM ReCoM Vienna

he idea of the ReCoM Central Europe in Vienna was born in an intense working-night at Karlsruhe OlympiXX, when the VP ofFinance Se- bastian Geese animated LR of Vienna, Christian Fischer-Pauzenberger to host the ReCoM CE in Vienna this year. So it became that 26 ESTIEMERs from12 LGs honored us with their visit from 27th October until 30th October in Vienna.
The official beginning of this years ReCoM Central Europe was marked by the arrival of our eurrent VP of Activi- ties, Antti Mattila from Helsinki. After the Registration in our Local Group Office, we introduced the participants from all over Europe to some Austri- an specialties like Stroh 80, Christmas Punch, Vienna Sausages with horsera- dish and sweet mustard. shing a satisfying level of physical well- being, the hosts led the participants to their hornes to get ready for a long party night at Loco Bar.
The first training-day started with official welcome words from Prof.
Wilfried Sihn, head of the IEM-de- partment at Vienna University ofTech- nology. Afterwards Antti entered the stage to kick-off the training sessions with our beloved Karlsruher trainers Max Steinmetz, Fabian Fischer, Han Che, Andi Schönle and Tobias Hem- merlein.
Lunch was provided at the local Ca- feteria the first two days, the afternoon's program was dominated by sightseeing at Castle Schönbrunn and a compre- hensive city tour by Solmaz Faal and Dr. Salletmaier.
On Friday night we thanked our grandiose trainers with a bottle of ES-
TIEM LG Vienna wine besides a tra- ditional Austrian Schnitzel (thanks to ESTIEMer and vineyard-owner Karli Schenzel). The formal Dinner was suc- ceeded by an attempt playing Flunky- Can and the Iceberg festival.
The last day was affected by the fi- nal training-session, which concluded at Deewan, a pakistani restaurant with the promising slogan "Eat as you can, Pay as you wish".
For the participants who decided to stay until Sunday we visited a typical austrian wine-restaurant calIed 'Heu- riger' - afterwards we joined Chelsea Club and let the evening pass out there with a great party.
As the organizers we would like to thank all the participants, the trainers and of course our Boardie Antti as weil.
