Read about the book "Chandra". Then put the sentences below the text into the correct order to make a summary.
"Chandra" is a book about a young Indian girl who goes to a modern school. She has a lot of friends there who do not keep to the old Indian traditions. Chandra's mother and grandmother are not very strict, and they want a modern education (Erziehung) for her. But Chandra's father is strict, and he thinks the old traditions are very important.
One day Chandra's cousin and his family, who live far away, come to visit her father. It turns out that they want Chandra's cousin and Chandra to get married. Chandra is very excited about it. Her cousin seems very nice, and he promises Chandra that he will always respect her. They get married, and then her new husband and his family leave again. Chandra will live with them after finishing school in three years' time.
During her school holidays, Chandra goes to visit her husband. When she gets there, she learns that he had died two weeks before. It is the tradition that she must now stay with her husband's family and work for them. Her mother-in-law (Schwiegermutter) hates her. Chandra has to work very hard. She makes friends with a woman who helps her a lot. In the end, this woman helps Chandra to run away. Chandra dresses as a boy and goes back to her family, but her father sends her away again. He believes in the traditions and thinks that she must stay with her husband's family.
Chandra stays with the family of a friend and with her grandmother for some time. One day, some men from her husband's family come. They want to take her back. Chandra's grandmother knows that Chandra will never be safe if she stays there. So Chandra has to leave India and go to England. There she can stay with one of her aunts. She is safe there.
A woman helps her, and she gets away dressed as a boy.
But her father believes that the old traditions are very important.
But she is going to stay with her parents for three years until she finishes school.
Chandra gets married to her cousin, who is very nice.
Chandra hates living with them decides to run away.

My problem is that ALL my friends are allowed to go out until midnight on Saturdays. I'm only boy in my class who isn't allowed to go out. My friends only go to the church youth club anyway, and there are always older boys who see to it that everything is OK. My parents are strict and they say that 13 is too Young to go out. They say I can ask them again when I'm 16. But when I'm 16, I won't have any friends any more because I can't see them in my free time.
How can I make my parents understand that it is VERY IMPORTANT for me to be with my friends?
