D i e l i t e r a r i s c h e F ü l l e l i e g t n i c h t a l l e i n im A u f b r u c h i n e i n e neue Z e i t , im S t r e b e n n a c h I n n o v a t i o n und im g e s e l l s c h a f t s - p o l i t i s c h e n P l u r a l i s m u s , s o n d e r n i n d e r i n h a l t l i c h e n S p a n n w e i t e d e s B e g r i f f s " K i n d e r l y r i k " , d a s s i n d s ä m t l i c h e dem B e r e i c h L y r i k im w e i t e r e n S i n n z u g e h ö r i g e n und K i n - d e r n vom K l e i n k i n d a l t e r b i s zum A l t e r v o n 10 b i s 12 J a h r e n z u g e d a c h t e n L i t e r a t u r g a t t u n g e n , s e l b s t b e g r ü n d e t .
D a m i t s i n d n i c h t n u r e i n f a c h s t e s p r a c h l i c h e G e b i l d e w i e K i t z e l r e i m e , F i n g e r s p i e l e o d e r S c h e r z v e r s e g e m e i n t , s o n - d e r n e b e n s o L i e d e r , s p i e l b e g l e i t e n d e T e x t e und G e d i c h t e v e r s c h i e d e n s t e r A r t . P r o d u z e n t e n s o l c h e r D i c h t u n g k ö n n e n E r w a c h s e n e und K i n d e r s e l b s t s e i n . D i e K i n d e r l y r i k i s t e i n e r d e r l i t e r a r i s c h e n B e r e i c h e , an d e n e n K i n d e r s e l b s t a k t i v und k r e a t i v b e t e i l i g t s i n d ; und d a s n i c h t n u r im s c h u l i s c h e n U n t e r r i c h t , s o n d e r n g e r a d e aus e i g e n e m A n t r i e b a u f d e r S t r a ß e , b e i m S p i e l , im F r e u n d e s k r e i s . U m f a n g r e i - c h e Sammlungen und U n t e r s u c h u n g e n im d e u t s c h s p r a c h i g e n Raum ( E . Borneman, P. R ü h m k o r f ) g e b e n A u f s c h l u ß d a r ü b e r . D i e v e r s c h i e d e n e n S t r ö m u n g e n , d i e man i n d e r K i n d e r l y r i k i n d e r B u n d e s r e p u b l i k D e u t s c h l a n d f e s t s t e l l e n k a n n , l a s s e n s i c h n a c h i h r e r z e i t l i c h e n und i n t e n t i o n a l e n E n t s t e h u n g v o n e i n a n d e r u n t e r s c h e i d e n , d o c h l a u f e n s i e h e u t e mehr o d e r w e n i g e r p a r a l l e l n e b e n e i n a n d e r . D e r A n f a n g n a c h 1945 war b i s i n d i e f ü n f z i g e r J a h r e h i n e i n s c h w i e r i g , d e n n v i e l e b e l i e b t e T e x t e w a r e n d u r c h den N a t i o n a l s o z i a l i s m u s m i ß - b r a u c h t und p o l i t i s c h - i d e o l o g i s c h s c h w e r b e l a s t e t , s o d a ß s i e n i c h t mehr u n v e r f ä n g l i c h b e n ü t z t w e r d e n k o n n t e n . Neues war n i c h t s o s c h n e l l an d i e S t e l l e d e s A l t e n z u s e t z e n . D i e s e e r s t e P h a s e war v o n e i n e r s t a r k e n R ü c k b e s i n n u n g a u f d i e t r a d i t i o n e l l e K i n d e r l i t e r a t u r v o r a l l e m d e s 19. J a h r - h u n d e r t s g e k e n n z e i c h n e t . D i e A n t h o l o g i e n m i t K i n d e r g e - d i c h t e n , d i e A u s w a h l i n den G r u n d s c h u l l e s e b ü c h e r n und d i e e r s t e n V e r s u c h e v o n K i n d e r l y r i k e r n i n d i e s e r Z e i t b e l e g e n d i e s . Obwohl T r a d i t i o n s b e s t i m m t h e i t , z ä h e s F e s t h a l t e n an V e r g a n g e n e m , e i n Wesensmerkmal ( v o l k s t ü m l i c h e r ) K i n d e r -
l y r i k s e i n mag, s o w i r d wohl i n d i e s e r A n f a n g s p h a s e e i n G r u n d d a f ü r z u s e h e n s e i n , d a ß e i n g e w i s s e r B e s t a n d an a l t e n K i n d e r g e d i c h t e n b i s i n d i e u n m i t t e l b a r e G e g e n w a r t t r a d i e r t w i r d und zum l i t e r a r i s c h e n A l l g e m e i n g u t g e h ö r t .
