7 A1 – English Dear Students,

I hope you are all healthy and feeling fine. The next few weeks you have to work on your own, therefore I have prepared the following tasks. Whenever you have questions or want your work checked, send me an email and I will answer your questions as soon as possible. The classtest is obviously not going to be on the 26.03. however if possible you are going to write the classtest as soon as possible after the Easter holidays. So use the tasks to prepare for the classtest.

Task1:

Write a diary about your time at home starting on the 17

th

of March and ending on the 2

nd

of April.

Use the past perfect or even the if-clauses when necessary or possible. Your diary entry should be written in the past tense.

Your diary should be sent in via e-mail on the 3

rd

of April.

Task 2:

Prepare for your English History project. Do research on your topics, discuss with the other group members (via phone or whatsapp) who is working on which part of your topic.

For example – Topic: William the Conqueror Part 1: His parents and his early years

Part 2: Invasion of England

Part 3: King of England and his reign Part 4: His Legacy

Since you are not going to be able to work together in school, use your phones to work together.

The deadline for your presentation is going to be a week after the original date. Also you might want to change your style of presentation (making a film together is not going to work when you can’t meet each other). It is also possible that each member of the group prepares a presentation just for their part and you just put them together at the end.

Students who were ill last Thursday were integrated in groups, only the last 2 groups were put together by me, because so many of you were ill. The last group still needs to find a topic. You find all the relevant information on the handout.

Task 3 Preparation for the classtest:

Use the following tasks to prepare for the grammar part of the classtest:

pg 82/2a pg 83/4 pg 89 / 9 – past perfect or simple past pg 89/ 10 - if clauses type 3 pg 87/12 if-clauses

pg 90/ 10 – past tenses

Additionally you can use KV 54-56 to test yourself for the classtest.

Remember to also learn the vocabulary and the past participles of all the irregular verbs!!!
