Impressions of Inflammation

Image Competition

The Health campus Immunology, Infectiology and Inflammation (GC-I3) was founded in 2014. It unites seven institutes and twelve hospitals of our faculty under the theme „Understanding inflammation – curing widespread diseases“. The GC-I3 aims to focus and promote its members expertise in teaching, research and medical care.

In order to present the whole range of activities of the GC-I3 online and on posters, flyers, etc. we invite all students and employees of the OVGU to send us their best images featuring aspects of immunology and inflammation. Comb through your hard drives and submit your images into one of the four categories!

FORMALITIES

DEADLINE Deadline is the 30th of June 2015.

FORMAT Please send your pictures in reasonably high resolution and including a brief description to martina.beyrau@med.ovgu.de and specify into which category you would like to submit them.

LEGALITIES Participants can submit multiple images. Please make sure that you only submit pictures that you rightfully own and that do not impinge upon the rights of others. By submitting your pictures you agree that the GC-I3 is allowed to use them for any internal and external publicity purposes.

C A T E G O R I E S 1. Life in the lab

Submit your images from the bench: scientists at work, close-ups of cell culture bottles, gels running – let your imagination run wild.

2. Hospital impressions

Anything which is part of daily life in the clinic. For example pictures from the theatre or of medical devices – everything which is part of medical and patient care.

3. Scientific images

We are looking for submissions featuring microscopy and imaging. Be it a classical H&E staining or intravital microscopy, anything goes.

4. Public relations

You have striking pictures featuring the „Lange Nacht der Wissenschaft“, the anniversary of the medical school or similar events? Please submit them here!
