Das gehört zum Schulalltag: Kurzfristig muss eine Lehrkraft, die gerade Zeit hat, für eine Vertretungs- stunde einspringen. Der Grundgedanke ist, dass diese Lehrkräfte, die kurzfristig – teilweise sogar fach- fremd (!) – Vertretungsunterricht erteilen müssen, eine Sammlung von Unterrichtsmaterialien für das Fach Englisch erhalten, die die wesentlichen Inhalte der Jahrgangsstufen 5 und 6 wiedergibt. Diese Kopiervor- lagen ermöglichen es Ihnen, schnell eine thematische Auswahl zu treffen und damit eine Englischstunde zu unterrichten, die den gerade behandelten Stoff fort- führt oder wiederholt und sowohl für leistungsschwä- chere als auch für leistungsstärkere Schülerinnen und Schüler geeignet ist. Daher wurden die einzelnen In- haltsbereiche thematisch eng eingegrenzt, um eine möglichst leichte Zuordnung zu ermöglichen.
Zu jeder Stunde existieren in der Regel drei Arbeits- blätter:
Das erste Arbeitsblatt enthält eine Kopiervorlage, die zum Erstellen einer Folie zum Einsatz auf dem Overhead-Projektor, als Vorlage zum Entwickeln eines Tafelbildes oder als Arbeitsblatt, das in die Thematik einführt, dient.
Auf dieser Vorlage sind die für die jeweilige Thema- tik grundlegenden Zusammenhänge dargestellt, um einerseits der Lehrkraft fachspezifische Hin- weise und den Schülerinnen und Schülern eine kurze Wiederholung von bereits gelerntem Wissen zu geben. Dies ist unter anderem für die nachfol- gende Bearbeitung des dazugehörigen Arbeits- blattes wichtig.
Das zweite Arbeitsblatt enthält Übungsaufgaben.
Für schwächere Schülerinnen und Schüler wurde ein Großteil der Aufgaben aus dem Bereich „Repro- duzieren“ aufgenommen. Leistungsstärkere Schü- lerinnen und Schüler erhalten zudem die Möglich- keit, weitere Kompetenzen zu entwickeln bzw. aus- zubauen.
Das dritte Arbeitsblatt enthält die Lösungen für die Lehrkraft. Durch die Gestaltung der Lösungsblätter können diese auch als Kopiervorlagen zur Bereit- stellung von Lösungsseiten im Sinne einer Selbst- kontrolle eingesetzt werden.
Durch diese Vorgehensweise wird es gerade auch fach- fremden Lehrkräften ermöglicht, passend auf die Lern- gruppe ausgewählte Inhaltsbereiche im Vertretungs- unterricht zu thematisieren – und nicht wie oft üblich, auf das Ausmalen von Mandalas zurückzugreifen.

werden behandelt und über die gängigen Lehrplan- themen vermittelt, wobei auf eine Einbettung in kom- munikative Rahmensituationen geachtet wurde.
Je nach Leistungsniveau der Lerngruppe ist es außer- dem möglich, Themen vorzugreifen oder innerhalb der Gruppe mit verschiedenen Themenblättern zu dif- ferenzieren.
