PhD position in Microbiology under the PhD programme of the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna

The PhD will work in a nationally funded research project within a cooperation of the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna, the Institute of Science and Technology Austria and the Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences. The applicant will be enrolled in the PhD programme of the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna. Scientific work will be performed at all three locations.

In this close cooperation outstanding research in medicine, biology, and microbiology will be provided. We search for enthusiastic students with a background in molecular biology and microbial skills (preferably with lab experience) and computer skills: command line (linux), Python (or other programming language), BioPython to undertake interdisciplinary research. Applicants holding a master degree or a diploma in biology, biotechnology, veterinary medicine, medicine and/or computer science are welcome. Excellent communication skills in English and German are required.
