Sessions at CAA (New York City, 10-13 Feb 21)

College Art Association CAA 2021 Annual Conference, New York City, Feb 10–13, 2021

Deadline: Mar 31, 2020 ArtHist.net Redaktion From: Nirmalie Mulloli

Date: 18.03.2020

Subject: CFP: TIAMSA - The Int.l Art Market Studies Association

TIAMSA - The International Art Market Studies Association (artmarketstudies.org) invites col- leagues to submit proposals for chairing its two sessions (the 1.5-hour academic session or the 1-hour seminar) at the 2021 College Art Association (CAA) conference to be held in New York City, February 10-13, 2021.

In line with our previous sessions at CAA, we do not impose any restrictions on the theme or approach of our sessions except that they must be of relevance to art market studies. As the CAA conference provides a forum of wide ranging diversity, we particularly welcome applications pro- posing a more experimental approach or format. The selected proposals will usually be followed by calls for papers to be distributed through the usual networks.

If you would like to submit a proposal, please send us a title, a very brief CV and a short abstract (3-4 sentences) outlining your idea by 31 March 2019 to office@artmarketstudies.org. The TIAM- SA Board will then select the most promising proposals, bearing in mind not only academic excel- lence but also their potential interest to our members and visitors of the conference.

Applicants will be informed of the board’s decision in the second half of April. Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide travel grants. Applicants have to be TIAMSA members.
