The German Mineral Resources Agency (DERA) and Trade and Investment Queensland in association with the Competence Centre for Mining Resources at the German-Australian Chamber invite you to take part in a presentation and discussion focussed on the New Economy Minerals Strategy of in the State of Queensland, Australia.
His Excellency Philip Green, Australian Ambassador in Berlin, and Dr Thomas Gἅckle, Deputy Director-General Raw Materials Policy, Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy will give the national context to bilateral activity in this field.
The event is also supported by BDI, VRB, VDMA and Austrade.
The great transitions currently underway in energy, industry and sustainability are driving rapid changes in global commodity supply, demand and investment dynamics. In demand terms they are pivotal in the shift to cleaner energy and improved technologies. In supply terms their extraction, processing and utilisation must address growing societal and investor requirement for that supply to be aligned with the principles of sustainable development, ethical sourcing and responsible operation.
Queensland’s rich endowment of mineral and energy resources provides opportunity to both contribute to and benefit from the changes currently underway.
