MEGATEK

CORPORATION

July 20, 1982

Dear Graphics Professional:

Thanks for your interest in Megatek's newest product--the waIZZARD 7600 graphics systems. We're already out of 7600 literature, so we're taking the liberty of including product details in this letter. If you would like a data sheet when

they are available, please return the enclosed card.

The 7600 offers advanced graphics processing capabilities in a packaged system including workstation furniture. These top-of-the-line products are packaged and priced as complete systems, making them an excellent choice for the

sophisticated graphics user.

Features of the 7600 include the Graphics Engine-, consisting of local display list memory and a 32 bit, bit-slice graphics processor. Host computer interface is handled by the LIFE (Local Intelligent Front End) unit,

based on an Intel 8086 microprocessor with up to 512 K bytes local RAM. LIFE1s local processing capability offloads the host computer and features dual serial RS-232-C ports at 19.2 K baud or DMAparallel IEEE-488 communication up to 10001 from the host at up to 165 K bytes/sec.

7600 systems also include Megatek's 3D hardware clip, rotate, scale, and translate (HCRST) unit for local 3D hardware transformations. Polygon fill of 3D surfaces in accomplished by the 3D surface processor included in the 7600.

A full line of graphics peripherals is available on the

7600. Included with every system are keyboard, joystick and pick module. Options are tablet, digitizer, light pen,

function switches and control dials, and color or black and

white hardcopy_ .

WAND FORTRAN CORE-based graphics software, compatible with all Megatek products, is available with the 7600.
