Indefinite Pronomen zur unbestimmten Mengenbezeichnung

“some und any” irgendeiner/eine/eines etwas welche

Die Regel, ganz anders als im Deutschen, bitte daran gewöhnen:

“some” verwendest du in bejahten Aussagen und in Fragen, bei denen du ein “Ja” erwartest

“any” verwendest du in Fragen, in Verneinungen und in Sätzen, die Ungewissheit

ausdrücken. Der Sinn der Aussage oder Frage bestimmt also die Wortwahl: some oder any.

Beispiele:

“Möchtest du einen Tee?” wird zu “Would you like some tea?” und nicht “Do you want a tea?”

(ist nicht komplett falsch, sagt nur keiner so, eigentlich nie, sondern eben mit “would you like”

und mit “some” )

“Irgendwelche Probleme?” wird zu “any problems?”

“Ich habe keine Fragen mehr.” wird zu “I don´t have any questions.”

Bitte fülle die Lücken mit some oder any 1. A: Would you like ………. coffee?

B: No, thanks. But could I have …………. water, please?

2. A: Would you like a salad or ………..…vegetables with your steak?

B: I’d like ………. vegetables, please. Have you got ………. broccoli?

3. A: I’m looking for an Italian dictionary, but I can’t see ………… here. Do you sell them?

B. I’m afraid we don’t have ………. dictionaries. Try the bookshop in Market Street.

4. A: I’m going shopping later. Do we need ……….. milk?

B: Yes, and could you buy ……… butter too, please? There isn’t ……… in the fridge.

5. A: I didn’t have ……… problems with the homework What about you?

B: Well, I didn’t have ……… trouble with the vocabulary exercise but I had ………

problems with the grammar.

6. A: I went to the cinema with ……… colleagues from work yesterday. What did you do?

B: We met …..… friends for a drink.

7. A: Did you take ……… photos when you were on holiday?

B: I took ………… when we were in Rome but then my camera broke, so I couldn’t take

…...… in Florence. Never mind. I bought ……… postcards.

8. A: Do you have ……… time next weekend? I need ……… help in the garden.

B: I’m afraid I don’t have ……… time on Saturday but I can come on Sunday.

9. A: How was your holiday in France? Do you speak …….… French?

B: Not a word! I don’t speak ……….. foreign languages.

10. A: There isn’t ……….. paper in the photocopier. I can’t see ……….. on the shelf.

B: There isn’t ……… . I ordered ……… last week so it should come tomorrow.
