Wording for Visual Analogue Scale Outcomes
Patients and physicians scored the following outcomes on a visual analogue scale (VAS) using a web-based electronic file system, at baseline, and after 1 and 2 years. Self-reported measures were completed electronically by the patients alone.
Patients:
VAS patient satisfaction (0-100): How satisfied are you with your treatment? 0 is not satisfied at all; 100 is maximally satisfied
VAS patient comfort (0-100): How comfortably are you with your treatment? 0 is not comfortable at all; 100 is maximally comfortable.
VAS patient inclusion (0-100): How involved have you been in decisions regarding your treatment? 0 is not involved at all; 100 is maximally involved.
Physicians:
VAS physician satisfaction (0-100): How satisfied are you with the provided treatment. 0 is not satisfied at all; 100 is maximally satisfied
VAS physician comfort (0-100): How comfortably are you with the provided treatment? 0 is not comfortable at all; 100 is maximally comfortable
