At the zoo
Kathy and Ben are at the zoo
with their teacher Mr James and their class.
All the kids love animals.
Start at number 1 .
1 Ben and Kathy are fascinated (sind fasziniert) by the elephants.
Suddenly Kathy looks around and asks:
“Hey, where is our class? We are alone!”
Ben says: “Oh, no! Where are they?
Let’s look at the rhinos!”
2 The flamingo lake is beautiful, but nobody is here. Go back.
3 The two monkeys have fun.
Kathy has an idea and says:
“Maybe our friends are hungry.
Let’s go to the the kiosk.”
4 Right. The big rhino is grey and has got a big horn.
Ben says: “They are fantastic.
But Mr James and the class are not here.”
Kathy asks: “Maybe they are with the crocodiles?”
5 There is only one polar bear. He is white. Go back to 10.
6 It is feeding time (Fütterungszeit) for the seals.
Many people are at the show.
But their class is not here.
Ben says: “Let’s go to the parrots now.”
7 These wonderful animals are lions. Read number 8 again.

8 The crocodiles are in the water.
Nobody else (niemand anderes) is here.
The friends go on to the tiger.

Kathy is disappointed (enttäuscht):
“Our class is not here.”
Then Kathy and Ben hear the brown bears.

Kathy and Ben like the monkeys. They go to them.
