At Mary’s school

Mary is a teacher.

In the morning she is at school.

In her classroom there are many girls and boys.

Mary says “pupils“.

They sit at the desks.

Under the desk they put their schoolbag.

Many schoolthings are in a schoolbag:

books, exercise-books, and a pencil-case.

In the pencil-case there are pencils, a pen, a ruler, and a rubber.

They do a lot of things at school.

Mary sings with the class on Monday.

They read and write and calculate every day.

On Tuesday they do sports.

They paint pictures on Wednesday.

On Thursday they have geography.

They swim on Friday.

English pupils learn German at school!

Other subjects are English, history, science,

geography, art, music, maths, sports, and swimming.

Mary writes at the blackboard with chalk.

It makes her fingers white.

The best at school is the break.

Then everybody has breakfast.

After breakfast the boys and girls have playtime in the schoolyard.

At twelve o’clock it is lunchtime!

There are two lessons in the afternoon.

Mary has a lot of fun at school.

I must wait at home!

In the wardrobe

I love my basket.

But I love the wardrobe, too.

In the wardrobe there are so many clothes and they all smell like Rick and Mary.

Mary has got three dresses for summer.

They are green, violet, and yellow.

She has got an orange skirt,

and blue, yellow, black, and pink blouses.

She wears an old brown jacket.

Her jeans are black, blue, and red.

Sometimes she puts on a dress and asks me:

“What do you think? Am I fat?”

What does it matter? You are in it.

Rick has got blue, brown, black, and grey trousers.

His coat is black, too.

So is his hat.

He has got five t-shirts in white, black, grey, blue, and orange, four shirts: in blue, purple, and two in black.

His five pullovers are green, blue, black, yellow, and purple.

Rick likes baseball caps and sunglasses.

I like the boxes on the floor.

They are full of shoes and boots – ... very tasty after lunch!
