A new iridoid glucoside, 5-desoxysesamoside, was isolated from Phlomis tuberosa L.

(Lamiaceae) together with three known iridoid glucosides sesamoside, shanziside methyl ester and lamalbid. Lamiide was found inP. herba-ventisssp.pungensin high concentrations.
