PhD Studentship in Photography and Digital Heritage

De Montfort University Leicester (UK) is offering a fully-funded 3-year PhD scholarship for the research project Distilling the Photographic Mass: Photography and Digital Heritage at the Nation- al Trust.

Commencing 1 October 2021, the project will interrogate the potential of image-based digital heri- tage to fulfil the aims and obligations of the heritage industries, through investigation of the Natio- nal Trust’s photography collections.

The Project’s supervisory team comprises Dr Gil Pasternak (Lead Supervisor; Photographic Histo- ry Research Centre – PHRC / De Montfort University), Dr Giuliana Tiripelli (Second Supervisor;

Media Discourse Centre – MDC / De Montfort University) and Dr Catherine Troiano (Third Supervi- sor; National Trust).

Interested applicants are invited to apply for consideration by 21 June 2021.
