Liebe 6b,
diese Woche wird es ein wenig digitaler. Die Padlets haben mehrere Vorteile: ihr könnt direkt auf der digitalen Pinnwand Fragen stellen und hört auch endlich mal wieder ein paar Englisch Wörter und Texte.
Für diejenigen, die Padlet nicht nutzen wollen, habe ich natürlich Alternativen vorbereitet.
Diese würde ich euch zukommen lassen, dafür bitte in der Schule eine Nachricht hinterlassen.

Worksheet number 1 28th April 2020
Task: Read the text and answer the questions (table) into your homeschooling folder.
Over 20,000 species of bees live on earth, but only honeybees make honey. In a beehive, that`s the bees`
home, there are three kinds of bees: The queen, the workers and the drones. But that`s not all about honeybees.
The queen`s one and only job is to lay eggs. In fact, she spends most of her life inside the hive, lying around. The workers have the best, but hardest job. They work together to build homes for the baby bees. They take care of the babies and keep the hive clean and tidy. Worker bees also fly outside and collect pollen and turn it into honey. The honey feeds every bee over the winter.
The drones also only have one job. They help the queen to lay eggs. You could say, queen and drone are in love. After that the drone has nothing else to do. Sounds good? Well, there is a bad side. After the job is done, the worker bees
don`t give the drones any food and so the drones will die over the winter. The worker bees are not mean but since the drones don`t work, there is no reason to give them food.
Honeybees are very important for us. They fly to crops such as apples or watermelon or even pumpkins. Without the bees, they would not grow and we could not eat them.
Many honeybees are dying and we need to help, to keep them safe. Otherwise, there is no honey for your breakfast.
