Europe’s Giant Meteorite Crater Europe’s Giant Meteorite Crater
Hike, bike and – through “Windows into the Earth”
– look right into geology moved by a cosmic event!
These are just a few of the recreational possibilities in Europe’s best preserved impact crater.
Specially-trained Geopark-Ries tour guides can show you the most exciting, hidden and spectacu- lar spots in and around the impact crater – whether traveling by foot, bike, car or bus.
And if so much activity stimulates your appetite – get a taste of the Geopark at one of the Culi- nary-Geopark-Ries partner-restaurants offering delicious meals and snacks made from local products.
Experience the impact!
All information about the Geopark Ries is availa- ble at www.geopark-ries.de. Use the interactive map on the website to choose all (and especially geological) features and points of interest in the Geopark.
