Online Cultural Heritage Crime Conference
Following the launch of its new MSc in Forensic Investigation of Heritage Crime, Cranfield Univer- sity is proud to host the international, online Cultural Heritage Crime Conference (CHCC). Com- pletely free to attend, CHCC 2021 aims to encourage broader engagement with the global issues of cultural heritage crime and protection.
CHCC is designed to attract an international, interdisciplinary audience of cultural heritage stake- holders, art market professionals, lawyers, law enforcement, military personnel, and the general public. This year’s three-day programme will offer attendees an invaluable insight into the practi- cal, legal and ethical implications of cultural heritage crime. International speakers will examine both the short- and long-term impact of cultural heritage crime from the recent targeting of archae- ological sites and the forging of indigenous artefacts to the recovery of Nazi-looted fine art.
CHCC 2021 will be streamed through a secure, digital conferencing platform so there is no need for participants to travel. Sessions will be broadcast live from 10:00 to 17:30 GMT with recordable presentations then uploaded onto the site for attendees in conflicting time zones to view.
