Author Contributions
Chapter 1 – Pitter Huesgen was involved in planning of the project and the experiments, and contributed experimental work about the analysis of the
Arabidopsis deg15 mutant line. Christine Gietl conceived the experiment leading to Figure 5E.
Chapter II – Matthias Erhardt was involved in project planning, generated the ILP1 and ILP2 cDNA and created all pME plasmids. He also investigated the subcellular localization of ILP1 and ILP2. Pitter Huesgen was also involved in project planning, contributed to Figure 1, created the pPH plasmids, and identified the deg7 mutant lines. He was also involved in the investigation of the subcellular localization of DEG7. Carolin Häufle estabilished the heat shock assay.
Chapter III – This is to a large part the work of Pitter Huesgen, who also drafted the manuskript. I was generally involved in the planning of the project, data collection and data analysis. I also created all pHS plasmids and created and identified the Arabidpopsis deg9-ox mutant line.
Jonas Kleyer was involved in the idenfication of the deg9-2 and deg9-3 mutant lines. Sonja Baader contributed to Figure 1 and raised the DEG9 antibody.
Chapter IV – This is also the main work of Pitter Huesgen, who again drafted the manuscript. I was involved in data collection and analysis.
