The intertrabecular medullar cavity contains reticular connective tissue with a loose stroma, which is partially filled with a moderately protein-rich fluid and adipose tissue. Only few hematopoietic precursor cells are evident. Hematoxylin-eosin stain, bar = 200 µm.
