Im Dokument lnfo,,mation System (Seite 155-160)

SY27-2521-3 2-CP-i

Introduction

This chapter contains eight major sections arranged as follows:

• CP100 through CP300 contain configuration-related information.

• CP400 through CP800 contain common procedures and information relating to the system and its maintenance.

Section 1 (CP100-CP180) illustrates and describes physical 8100 system configurations, the devices supported by IBM software, s~ows the models and features of devices in the 8100 Information System family, describes system hardware restrictions, and also describes the 8100 logic boards and cards used.

Section 2 (CP200-CP230) explains addressing, addressing levels, and methods of device attachment.

Section 3 (CP300-CP392) explains how to build, complete, or add entries to, the con-figuration table.

Section 4 (CP400-CP466) describes the Maintenance Device used on the 8100, including how to use it and what it can test. It also describes the utilities contained on the MD diskettes and how to use them.

Section 5 (CP500-CP523) discusses IPL and IPL modes, and those options available for testing when performing an I PL.

Section 6 (CP600-CP660) contains procedural information common to offline and online testing, and the Diskette Surface Analysis and Disk Surface Status and Format Utilities. It also describes how to run the 8809 D LS tests.

Section 7 (CP700-CP774) describes all test and maintenance information that relates to the DPPX operating system.

Section 8 (CP800-CP855) describes all test and maintenance information that relates to the DPCX operating system.
