Frei konfigurierbares Modem (ohne DTC RTK Dienst und DTC SIM-Karte)

In diesem Fenster müssen Sie die Zugangsdaten Ihres verwendeten RTK-Dienstes eintragen:

Mit einem Klick auf den Knopf “Set” speichern Sie die Einstellungen. Nach einigen Sekunden sollte eine Einwahl beim RTK-Dienst erfolgt sein.

• Elektrische Ausrüstung auf ordnungs-gemäßen Zustand prüfen.

• Es dürfen nur Original-Ersatzteile ver-wendet werden.

This operating manual is valid only for the device described in the title.

The operating manual provides important information for the safe and efficient use of the device. It is an integral part of the device.

A prerequisite for safe working with the de-vice is the observance of all specified safety instructions and handling instructions.

The operating manual is the bases of all training courses that take place on the device.

The DTC RTK modem is designed exclusively for receiving GNSS correction data for the RT-, Survey+ and xNAV sensors from OxTS.

5�1 Delivery NOTE

Please have visible damage to the outer packaging confirmed by the driver of the parcel service immediately upon deliv-ery. If a transport damage is noticed only during the unpacking, the parcel service must be notified in writing within 24 hours of delivery in order to make them liable for the damage.

5�2 Delivery scope

The DTC RTK modem V1 is a radio modem for receiving DGPS correction data. It is usually completely preconfigured with a DTC SIM card and the DTC NTRIP correction data ser-vice for the region ordered.

The individual settings such as service, baud rate, data format and IP address are indicated with labels on the device.

All components of the DTC RTK modem are listed below.

Standard DTC RTK modem components:

• 1 DTC RTK modem

• 2 LTE magnetic antennas

• 1 power supply cable with DC high con-nector and car adapter

• 1 serial cable to RT sensor 15-pin to 9-pin

Not included with the DTC RTK modem:

• 1 SIM card

• 1 Correction data provider license These are included only in the scope of an or-der and are then pre-configured accordingly.

NOTE

The use of other sensor models may re-quired a different serial cable.

Connection and configuration

of an OxTS RT sensor

1. Connect the modem to the 15-pin con-nector J3 (radio) on the breakout cable of the RT.

Use the supplied data cable.

2. Plug the other end into the COM port connector on the front of the modem.

3. Start the OxTS software NAVconfig.

4. Make the settings that you see in the following screen:

(It is essential that you tick the check box for "Enable NTRIP corrections")

7�1 Accessing the modem desktop

To access the desktop of the modem, please proceed as follows:

1. Connect display, mouse and keyboard.

You can access the desktop of the device directly.

OR:Connect the modem to a shared net-work. To do this, use one of the two Ethernet sockets on the back of the modem, depending on whether you need to access it via DHCP (in a LAN) or via a fixed IP address (the device has the address 195.0.0.101).

2. On your computer, start the

remote desktop connection programme.

Enter either the modem name (for DHCP) or a fixed IP address as the des-tination.

The modem name must correspond to the following scheme: RTK <Modem serial number on the sticker on the back, WITHOUT hyphen!>,

e.g. RTK2019000101.

For a connection via a fixed IP, enter the following: 195.0.0.101.

3. Enter the user DTC and the password dtcadmin.

7�2 Using your own SIM card

If you do not want to use the supplied DTC SIM card, please proceed as follows:

1. Switch off the modem.

2. Check whether an LTE antenna is con-nected to the left antenna socket (M).

3. Insert or replace the SIM card.

4. Start the device.

5. Call up the desktop.

6. Open the release centre via : Start menu -> System control ->

Network and release centre.

7. Select the "Connect to a network" item and use the Windows wizard to specify the settings to be used (with/without roaming, APN, PIN, user data, connect automatically, etc.).

» Depending on the SIM card, different set-ting options will appear, which you should fill in completely.

8. Use the system tray (bottom left of the taskbar) to check whether a mobile connection could be established. Please note any error messages that may ap-pear.

» The LTE interface has top priority when establishing an Internet connection, even if you should also have Internet access via an Ethernet connection.

7�3 Operation of the web interface

You can either open the web interface directly on the device via the link on the desktop or use a web browser on a connected note-book/PC.

If you order licenses at a later date, they will be included in this list. Use the "De-lete" button to delete the rate selected in the list after a security query.

» Please note that the licensed rates of a deleted license code are no longer available.

Non-licensed rates are greyed out and cannot be selected. To activate a licensed rate, select the rate with the mouse and click the button "Set rate" below the list.

Freely configurable modem (without DTC RTK service and DTC SIM card)

In this window, you must enter the access data of the RTK service you are using:

URL The URL provided by the service provider for dial-up.

Port The port assigned by the service provider.

Mount point The mount point provided by your service provider.

User name The user name set up for you to dial into your service provider.

Password /

Repeat password Please enter the service provider dial-in password that has been set up for you twice.

Click on the "Set" button to save the settings. After a few seconds, you should be able to dial into the RTK service.

If you have connected an OxTS product to the modem, you should see the corrected data in the NAVdisplay application.

8 Maintenance

In order to ensure operational safety, regular checks must be carried out and, if necessary, defects must be remedied immediately.

• Check the electrical equipment for prop-er condition.

• Fuses must not be repaired or bridged.

• Only original spare parts may be used.

• In general, the modem must always be kept in a clean condition.

9 Malfunction

In the event of technical malfunctions or problems, please contact our customer service.

10 Disposal

Environmental damage from incorrect disposal

Incorrect or negligent disposal can cause considerable environmental pollution.

• Have electrical waste and elec-tronic components disposed of by specialist companies.

• Disposal must be carried out in accordance with the applicable national regulations.

In case of doubt, consult the manu-facturer or obtain information from the local municipal authorities or spe-cialist disposal companies regarding environmentally friendly disposal.
