Blaise Castle
Blaise Castle is situated (= sich befinden) on a hill. It overlooks Bristol and on a clear day you’ve got a wonderful view across to South Wales. They started to build the castle in 1766 and they finished it in 1798. The castle has many towers and is made of stone. The castle and its 650 acres (2.6 km2) of parkland are now open to the public. There is a big car park in front. You can
do a lot of activities, for example playing cricket, horse riding or walking. There are also sports pitches (there are two cricket pitches and a large space for sport). If you are hungry, you can visit the café. For families there is a large children’s play area for younger and older children. A ranger can show you around. The Blaise Castle House Museum is very interesting. You can also visit the Dairy Garden or the Lily Pond. You should enter Blaise Castle to see how luxurious it is. Inside you can find a lot of very nice decorations.

St Mary Redcliffe Church
St Mary Redcliffe is an old church. They built the church in the 12th century and extended it in the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries.
Queen Elizabeth I said it was one of the most famous churches in England.
Many parts of the building are very old and date back to the 12th century. Later the church was decorated by rich people of the city.
