Lernziele/ Qualification goals

The students are introduced to the international water discussion. They learn about the various objectives of water projects in developing countries- ranging from access to drinking water and sanitation to better water resource management. Also, international organisations in the water sector will be explained.

The students get to know the hot topics and challenges of water management in developing countries. They learn to develop a basic project plan for an international water project based on a problem analysis. They will also apply selected methods from international project management such as stakeholder mapping and SWOT analysis. Students will be sensitized to cooperation with international project partners. Through presentation and group work, team work and presentation abilities are strengthened. By conducting interviews and research, competencies for autonomous work are strengthened. Also, technical English is improved.
