Journal of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era

Alan Lessoff

The "Journal of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era" invites manuscripts from subscribers to H-ArtHist on any aspect of art history in the United States between roughly 1870 and 1920.

Published by the Society for Historians of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era, this is the

only journal specifically devoted to this decisive period in numerous areas of American

history and culture, including of course artistic practice and its professional and

institutional infrastructure. Though published in black and white, the journal is

ambitious to publish essays on the arts that depend on illustrations.
