Prize of European Society for Periodical Studies

ESPRit

Deadline: Jan 31, 2022 Gabor Dobo

The European Society for Periodical Studies (ESPRIT) invites nominations for this new prize for a substantial contribution to the field of European periodical studies completed within the last two years. Eligible projects can include, but are not limited to, monographs, edited collections, exhibi- tions, reference works, the publication of a series, editorships of a journal devoted to periodicals, websites and databases. Projects are not restricted to the English language. They need to have made a strong impact on the field of European periodical studies beyond the national context in which it was initiated. The project should contribute clearly to research that is in line with ESPRit’s scope (see: espr-it.eu/about-us).

The Prize will be awarded during the Annual Meeting of ESPRIT at the conference following the award. Winners may be invited to present their projects at the conference, and on the ESPRit web- site. Membership in the organisation for one year accompanies the prize.

Nominations

Candidates can either submit their own work or nominate the projects of fellow researchers.

Those who nominate a project should submit a proposal of 500 that which includes a description of the eligible project and a motivation for the nomination. The submission deadline is January 31, 2022. Nominations should be submitted via email to: info@espr-it.eu.
