I. Pillars of education
The University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration, Police and Administration of Justice of the federal state Mecklenburg- Vorpommern (FHöVPR M-V) belongs to the seven state-run universities of the federal state and sees itself as a centre for study as well as education and training of the public service in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Police.
Training at two institutions:
Educational institution for local and regional administration and
Faculty of Police.
Advanced training at three institutions:
Institute for advanced training and administrative modernization,
Educational institution for local and regional administration and
Department of Police.

II. Figures
The c. 210 professionals from teaching and administration are service providers for c. 720 students, c. 450 trainees and c. 10.000 participants taking part at advanced trainings and conferences every year.
III. Campus
The FHöVPR M-V is situated in the southern part of the Barlach city Güstrow with a population of c. 30.000. Consisting of 450 dormitory places, a special library, a gym, two training centres for the operational training of the police, a shooting range, a canteen and a cafeteria it offers ideal and increasingly barrier-free study and training conditions on the green campus. Outside the lecture halls the booster club makes the university life more colourful.
IV. University cooperation
As part of the bachelor studies study visits abroad at universities in the Ukraine, in Denmark, Estonia, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland and Slovakia take place. The FHöVPR M-V was awarded the ERASMUS CHARTA for higher education 2014-2020.
