New concept for NES Colloquia Dr. G. Perret, LRS

Dr. M. Streit, AHL

Over the last few decades, relevant topics in nuclear science and engineering were presented monthly during the NES Colloquia. Animated by Claude Degueldre, the presentations spanned a large set of disciplines, presenting local and international research to the NES employees but also to a Swiss audience interested in nuclear related topics.

With Claude’s retirement, the NES colloquia will continue to present research relevant in the nuclear field on a monthly basis. However, the mission of the NES Colloquia will be shifted to fostering an intra-disciplinary knowledge of nuclear for the NES employees. Towards this goal, we will present a new concept and organization of the colloquia that relies on increased participation of the NES lab heads and of the NES employees.
