New Law

Indirect counterproposal to nursing care initiative

The counterproposal of the Parliament’s Commission for Social Security and Health takes up important demands of the popular initiative.

Planned optimization of the rules on human research

Several recommendations in the evaluation report on the Human Research Act require an adaptation of the Human Research Ordinance. The Federal Council instructed the Federal Department of Home Affairs to submit a proposal for this adaptation.

New Law

Health policy strategy of the Federal Council 2020-2030

The Health policy strategy sets out 8 objectives and 16 measures for implementation in order to improve the health care system. The Federal Department of Home Affairs will plan the implementation with the partners involved.

The unification of the remuneration of nursing care material

The Federal Council intends to introduce a uniform remuneration for nursing care mate- rial throughout Switzerland. In the future, compulsory health care insurance companies will be exclusively responsible for financing the material, irrespective of whether it is used directly by patients, by a non-professional contributor or by a nurse.

Approval of tariff agreements in the inpatient sector

The Federal Council approved the tariff structure SwissDRG, the amended rules for TARPSY and an accounting tariff agreement on the remuneration of innovative cancer therapy (CAR-T cell therapies).
