Position Listing: ICMA ADMINISTRATOR
The International Center of Medieval Art (ICMA), a learned society of some 1200 members worldwide, seeks a full-time administrator to manage its office at The Cloisters in New York City. Responsibilities include:
Handling the ICMA's telephone calls, mail, and e-mail; Maintaining accounts;
Assisting the ICMA president and committee chairs with administrative duties including coordinating the annual membership meeting and the semi-annual meetings of the Board of Directors; Assisting with fund-raising events, applications, and correspondence; Maintaining the membership database, including membership renewals; Overseeing the distribution of the Center's journal, Gesta, and its Newsletter; Coordinating ICMA conference sessions, helping their organizers with grant applications; Coordinating other ICMA events as needed; Handling sales of ICMA publications; Overseeing office equipment, supplies, archives, and storage.
Applicants should have good people skills; office experience; conversancy with office programs including Word, Excel, Access, Quick Books, and Front Page; familiarity with art history and/or medieval studies. Fund-raising experience desirable. ICMA is an EEO employer. Address inquiries to Dr.
