Academic thesis for students
Have you always wanted to melt aluminium and spin ultra-thin fibres from glass or basalt? Then you've come to the right place! Alucoat is a project that develops high performance metal fibres that can be used to for electromagnetic shielding or as reinforcement material in lightweight construction. These metal fibres are produced using our novel coating process that has large economical benefits. As a result, a Start-Up, FibreCoat GmbH, is founded to commercialise this material for the global market.
What you can expect
Your thesis with us will be anything but boring. As we currently are in the process if upscaling our tech- nology, you can expect challenging and diversified tasks. You will be working on a topic that is highly scientific at the research institute and business orientated at our Start-Up. This includes independently conducting experiments, working with different materials, contact with external companies, but also going on your first business trip and much more. As we desire to grow and develop, your ideas and input matter! See your ideas be realised quickly with the support of young and motivated colleagues. Together with a close and intensive supervision, a short and compact completion of your thesis (FL/PA/BA/MA) is possible. In addition, you can flexibly plan your working hours. Furthermore, if you are interested, there is the possibility of a longer-term cooperation.
Your profile
If you are motivated, open-minded, competent, and good at problem solving, then you are the right per- son for us. Having previous experience is advantageous, however it is not necessary. Just send us a short, but detailed application and we can arrange a personal interview!
